So-change brands. Stevia leaves a metallic taste in my mouth a bit after I use it if no sugar is present so I add a pinch.

realized not too long ago that every time a protein powder or yogurt has a nasty chemical like aftertaste to me, it has stevia in it..really stinks cause the initial taste of some of the protein powders i have tried actually tasted like their flavors.
NuZest is the BEST FRIGGIN' vegan protein ever! I swearrrrrrrr! I tried a whole bunch this evening - to sample... I had so many stupid one packs that I wanted to get rid of, and NONE of them compare to the tastiness of NuZest! I highly recommend you check it out! http://www.nuzest-usa.com/store?af=gigieatscelebrit

i pretty much settled on hemp protein powder after my last round of yucks but, your i swearrrrrr made me checked your link and i saw there was no stevia and little added ingredients so i went on amazon and they happen to have three of the nuzest flavors as a 'lightning deal' for $33.71 so figured it was meant to be tried out.. i got the wild strawberry, hope your swearrrrr is true

Apparently Nuzest uses thaumatin as a sweetener, not Stevia.

"Although very sweet, thaumatin's taste is markedly different from sugar's. The sweetness of thaumatin builds very slowly. Perception lasts a long time, leaving a liquorice-like aftertaste at high usage levels. "
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thaumatin

"One of the problems with the other natural non-nutritive sweetener available commercially – stevia – is that it has a bitter taste. Thaumatin has been found to reduce the bitterness when added in extremely low levels to stevia extract, including Rebaudioside A. There is currently no listed ADI for thaumatin, which means it can be used according to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice)."

I'm ok with my Heartland Gold Brown Rice for now (I actually like it quite a lot!), but this is interesting, for a sweet product
