Hello I wanted to introduce myself. I am Vanessa. I work 60 hours a week. I a have three kids and I am a college student. I miss having time to go to the gym or even the bathroom with out a child sticking their hand under the door :). I am working on my B.A.S and after the new year will no longer be doing on line coures. I will have to the college two nights a week. With all that being said it is so hard to stay healthy. I have started gaining weight again and need to get it under control before it controls me.

You can do it, and think ahead of how worthwhile the experience will be. Stay healthy, and be kind to your body (and mind!) as you are under a ton of stress now. If you gain a little weight because you are eating what you cook for your kids, that is one thing not to stress about. If you are eating because the stress is mounting, be extra kind to yourself. :) Eat well, and I suggest maybe do all the little things to stay fit -- take stairs, park far away, keep moving, love yourself and those three kids every minute of the day. Relax your mind when you can, maybe meditate if you can find 20 minutes here and there. You are on a great path -- keep walking it!
  • Vanessa, feel free to add me! I'm just finishing grad school, and am also a mother. I lost 75lbs before starting university, and somehow gained it all back .... just rejoined MFP with a goal of losing it all again and keeping it off.

Hey that sound familiar. I'm a returning student , 3 children, and a on-call full time job. Currently i have online classes with two classes on campus. Next semester will be all in class. I'm already trying to figure out when i can get my workout in. I know i will need to be better prepared when packing lunches/dinners. Good luck with school it's worth it!

Runner005mfp good luck to you too. Let me know how and when you work out. I still can't find time.. I work from 5am till 3:30 or 5:00 depending on what still needs to be done at the end of the day. I miss the gym so much.
