I would like to lose my last 10-20 lbs fairly quickly. Should I do cardio only until it is gone or cardio plus lifting? My run coach said cardio only. I wanted some other opinions as well

If all you are concerned about is a lower body weight, lifting probably isn't the way to go. If you are concerned about more than simply lower body weight, lifting is probably the way to go.0

Start lifting now to preserve muscle mass.0 -

If you want to lose just fat (or at least very little muscle), then you don't want to do it quickly. Also, when you lose muscle, you aren't lowering your body fat %, so essentially, you will be a lighter version of your current self. And to add on, maintaining muscle is a lot more easy than adding muscle. And then add the fact when you add muscle, you have to add fat.
So why not do it right from the get go instead of putting your self down a path that will be ineffective.
If you have an event, you can cheat by going low carb for a few weeks prior to cut glycogen/water storage. It's very easy to lose 5 or more lbs of water weight going low carb.0
