I'm new here to the board, but have been using MFP for about six months.

A little bit about me:
* I am 35, 5'4 and I weigh 272 lbs :(
* I have PCOS & I'm IR but I try not to use it as an excuse even though it does make losing harder then the average person (even my doctors have stated that).
* I'm on metformin (500 mg a day)
* Per MFP, to lose 2 lbs a week, it has me at 1640 calories.
* I do my best to walk 30 min a day x 4 days. On days I don't walk, I have a stationary bike that I ride for a mile sometimes more, depending on my energy level (which has been lacking lately).

I'm looking to find others like me who have PCOS & IR to talk with and share success and struggle stories with. My main struggle is soda's and carbs....but I'm working on taking away the soda's first as I know those are the worst. So far I'm on day three with no soda and I'm sticking to water with lemon.

Any suggestions on how to help get my energy back, as I could sleep for hours and anything that has worked for other's to lose would be great!!

Karla
