Low calorie French dressing To share
here is my creation for low calorie French dressing:
1 can tomato soup
1/2 cup carmelize red onion and green peppers
1/2 cup Apple cider vinegar
1 tsp grey poupon
1 tsp fresh garlic
3 tsp celery seed
2 tsp black pepper
2 tsp salt
4 tblsp balsamic vinegar
1 tblsp roasted walnut oil
1 tblsp honey
1/2 cup water
1 tblsp sweet relish
1 tblsp sugar
Slowly cook onion and green pepper in pan with a bit of water and non stick cooking spray until tender and slightly brown, put in food processor and chop fine
Combine all ingredients in blender and mix on high until thoroughly mixed, refrigerate overnight.
According to the recipe function on fitness pal, there are 17 calories per 2 tablespoons.
There are ways to make it have even less calories, but these ingredients were what I have on hand.
Low cal tomato soup, stevia or other low calorie sweeteners, would lower the calories.
