NSVs? What about NSGs?

I love reading about other people's non scale victories. I would also love to read about some non scale goals!
Mine are:
1. Doing a pull up
2. Running a 10K without walking
3. Going sky diving
They're kind of silly, I know, but these are three things I've never done that my size previously prevented me from even considering. Now I am slowly but surely plugging away at them.
So, what are your non scale goals?

- Deadlift 4 plates (405lbs)
- Squat 3 plates (315lbs)
- Bench 2 plates (225lbs)
- Overhead press 1 plate (135lbs) - This one is complete.
- Qualify for the Boston Marathon if my knees allow it. My first marathon was 13 minutes shy of it.
- Join the 1000 club (1000 pounds between deadlift, squat and bench)
Also for all you skydiving hopefuls, you're going to love it! I finally jumped in May... then again in July... and again in September... it's addicting!0 -
1. Be as comfortable as one can be on a plane - traveling a lot while over 300 sucked.
2. I have a sabbatical I can take soon, I want to hike to the summit of Kilimanjaro in 2017. By far the easiest of the Seven Summits, but still a major accomplishment.
3. I want to learn to scuba dive, and not be mistaken for an orca and harpooned.0 -
I want to do 100 consecutive push-ups (on my toes!). I did the hundred push-up program before and got to around 88-89 and then got sidetracked and quit, gained weight, lost my fitness level, and am back here again. I have been kicking myself over that ever since. I was so close!! I haven't started back up yet but I will after this weights program I'm on.0
-
My overall NSGs:
1. Play tennis again this spring and not die.
2. Achieve 3 sets x 20 reps of military pushups.
3. Wear shorts this summer, that came from a regular store, not a plus size store.0 -
Love this!
By the end of the year (only a month away eeek) the one goal I have left for the year is a 10kg weighted pull up.0 -
1. Not thinking about losing weight any more.
2. Feeling confident and balanced.
3. Riding at any equestrian centre without worrying that I'll be too heavy, and choosing my next horse without thinking I should only be looking at the serious weight carriers.0 -
* A full front split
* A "human flag"
* Get back to 50 pushups
* 10 weighted dips and pullups
* Drop jaws in a bikini with my 2 kids on my hip0 -

I love #1 and #2. I remember many years back when I was considering what New Year's resolutions I might make and realized that for the first time, my weight and even my fitness level, were already where I wanted them to be. It was a magical moment. It would be lovely to achieve that again.
For now, I just want to be able to run a 5k. And stay injury free!

Awesome, everybody!!!0
-
1. Be able to do a full sun salutation at yoga, and not need to use my hands to help scoot my foot forwards when returning to the lunge before standing up.
2. Being able to walk into a shop and pull a size off the shelf, and know that it will fit the way it was designed to. I'm one size away from that happening, and it's an amazing feeling!
3. Having a more healthy relationship with food.0 -
I would love to run a mile without stopping. I have NEVER done that! It's kind of cold outside now but in the spring time...I'm doing it! For now, it's cardio inside for me.0

I know what you mean about #1... it feels good to stretch properly again.0 -
Oh, I forgot...I want to see my collar bones again! I don't even remember what they look like! Just the outline would be fine, I don't want to be super skinny like a model, but I miss them terribly.0
-
four years ago, I had visible abs, big shoulders and tons of strength and stamina. I want to try and get that fit again.0
-
I want abs, maybe not a 6 pack, just 2 or 3 would be awesome!0
-
1. Complete a half marathon (signed up for one in March)
2. Do a 100 mile bike ride
3. Take a couple more minutes off my 5K time0 -
Thank you for starting this topic, @Ponkeen! I've been curious about "NSGs" as well.
My 2015 resolution was to try 10 sports. I accomplished that goal 2 weeks ago, and along the way I've been getting fitter and stronger.
I haven't written out my 2016 goals yet, but they will be strength, endurance, and flexibility oriented. The #1 goal is to be able to do a pull-up. I've never been able to do one, so it's a big deal to me. This is what prompted me to join MFP. As I so eloquently told my coworker: if I'm going to do a pull-up I can't be lifting all this!1
