Hi everyone,

I am down to the last 12-14 lbs and have lost 14 lbs slowly from February to July. I incorporated weight lifting in late May and have progressed since then. But my weight loss stalled since July. I tried decreasing calories but found myself starving. I adjusted my goals to lose as slow as 1 lb per month. I finally took my first week off last week (cruise vacation) and was careful with my food choices, but didn't log. I did get 7 miles a day in and three hours of cardio/lifting in the cruises gym. I came back and after 2 days my weight finally started dropping. Is a maintenance week every few months a good idea? Why would this work? I am thrilled of course, this 4 month stall was very frustrating!

I found it worked for me when I was in the losing phase. At the worst, it won't hurt, and it's fun!

For the mentality aspect, yes. For actual weight loss? No. That comes down to tightening up your logging.
