Has my metabolism slowed down?

Hi everyone!
I'm a 29 year old female who is 5'6. I have very little muscle mass and because of this the scale shows a lower number than I look. I've been lucky, usually can eat what I want and not exercise and I'll maintain. In the past few months, I've noticed a change. I've actually started to log my food and exercise lightly throughout the week and I'm gaining weight and it's not coming off as easy as it used to. What's happening? Do I need to start dieting? Has my body started to change? I'm starting to get in my head looking at the scale after a night where I actually limited what I ate yet still gained weight! What is happening!!!!? It's really messing with my head. Damn the scale! Not pregnant and no thyroid problem!

Stick to what MFP has given you.
Measure your foods with a food scale and log.
Exercise more if you want a bigger deficit.
The weight will come off in due time not overnight.

You sound like your fat has stayed intact, but you've now added muscle, causing overall weight gain. You've got to burn the fat. Low carb, or even Ketogenic diet is your best bet.
