quick fitbit question

hey everyone so I am having a little trouble with my fitbit app on my phone and MFP. According to MFP I have had 747 calories today (haven't had dinner yet) but the calories don't match on the fit bit app. On fit bit it says I have ate 1046 calories. I shows that I have food logged for lunch but I do not. I have disconnected the two from each other but still no luck. Any thoughts? (I know there is a fitbit group but I usually get faster responses here)

Mines the same and always has been. They're both set correctly. So I'm in for the answer!

yeah I ignore my fitbit foods

if you add something to MFP food then change it or delete it the amendments don't cross over to fitbit so it goes doolally

I just synch my fitbit and concentrate on my foods on MFP - I also log my exercise here - fitbit just passes over my step-based activity level and gives me the extra calories

You can delete meals in the fitbit app, and/or you can try forcing an update (if they are linked) by adding to your mfp diary. I had it go skewy for a few days last month but it sorted itself out eventually.

What's supposed to happen is MFP sends over a meal summary to Fitbit. It's supposed to replace an existing entry if you edit it - like if you have lunch, record your sandwich and fruit, then later add in a cookie - but it doesn't always replace. Sometimes it sends over the information twice, so you have one summary of the sandwich and fruit, and another with all 3 items.

I use the info recorded in Fitbit to log everything in a spreadsheet, so having accurate info there is important for me. You can just swipe to delete the extra entries, or ignore them if having correct info there isn't necessary for you :)

ignore the food part in fitbit.

Use MFP for food/calories and fitbit for exercise
