Hi!
I recently signed up as I have gained 25 pounds over the past two years and want to get back to that weight and healthier body again. I am a vegetarian and find myself struggling to not be hungry all the time with the recommended 1200 calories. Any suggestions on vegitarian dishes, foods, or meals that would help me feel full?

Proteins and fats will keep you full for longer. But depending on your stats, you may not need to go that low on calories - esp as you have only 25lb to lose.

    Height?

It's possible that you don't need to eat only 1200 calories. If you set your loss goal to two pounds a week, then that is probably too aggressive. Try setting your goals to one pound a week, and see if that is more sustainable.

I'm useless when it comes to vegetarian meals though. Protein satiates me the most, so you might want to try adding more protein sources. Some people find fat more satisfying, you could always increase intake of foods like avocado, or olive oil, to see if that works for ya.

Polenta keeps you full, as does couscous, lentils and most grains. I eat things like veggie burgers (homemade, essentially a veggie rosti) In a bun with say polenta chips or wedges, that will certainly fill you up! ! Or yummy noodle stir fry. ... pasta dishes. ... oh so much!

Btw you can eat a boat load of food on 1200 when there's no meat! ! Do you eat eggs? I swear by a good veggie omlette to fill me for hours! X

Healthy fats!! MCT Oil, Macadamia Nut oil, Coconut oil, KerryGold grass-fed butter. :)
