Looking for others 50 and older who have diabetes

In time past I've not been serious about my diabetes. On Nov 12th I went to the doctor and had a reading of 466, don't remember my A1C. I had stopped taking my metformin. Not one of my better decisions. Since then I have made a turn around, today's reading was 162. I go to the doctor next week so I'll know how well I've done over all.
I could use some friends that could help support me, and me them.
