How to log strength training with cardio

Some days I do a combination of strength training with short intervals of cardio, such as jumping jacks, running high intensity for a couple of minutes, etc. I try to keep my heart rate somewhat up during strength training. So when logging my exercise under cardio should I log it as strength training or circuit training?

    Circuit training.

But aim of keeping your HR up during strength training might be counter productive to your strength work. What are you seeking to achieve?

For me, if it's primarily strenght training, I log it as strength training. Same if it's primarily a circuit/cardio. If it is really a combination you might try calistenics vigorous effort. See what works for you, It often times comes down to the best guess. I'd rather under estimate the calorie burn than over estimate it.

I log workouts as you described as circuit training.

I did cardio in between sets for years, and enjoyed it very much, but it took an excruciatingly long time to move up in weight. This go-around I am focusing on lifting when I lift, and am already going up in weight or reps.
