Late night snacks...

All day I was trying to watch my food intake. Most of the day I was vaguely hungry. Then I went to the movies and ate an entire (small) bag of popcorn. Then I got home and ate instant ramen and 2 slices of pizza leftovers. Now I feel slightly nauseous. I felt like crap all day because I was hungry. I can't function when I'm hungry. I have a migraine, which might be because I ate roughly 3x my sodium goal. This is too hard. I have wanted to lose weight for so long but instead I just keep gaining it, because I can't control myself. I tried to snack on healthy things (carrots and hummus) but they just didn't satisfy me. It's like my body tells me GIVE ME CARBS NOW. Ugh...

Nothing wrong with carbs.
Eat the foods you love within your calorie limit!
No need to over-restrict yourself!
Just try logging your food before you eat it. This helps to stay under your limit. Good luck!0 -
Get more protein maybe. Plan your day a head of time and put it in your diary.0

I ended up freaking out slightly and doing a youtube workout at 2am in my basement.
Thanks for the tips!0 -

This.
If you want carbs, there's nothing wrong with that. Just try to make it fit into your goal.0 -
What is your calorie goal? Is it too aggressive?0

If you're not eating when you're hungry then you will never reach your goal. You HAVE to eat. Starving all day and eating a bunch of junk at night is going to get you nowhere.0

You don't need to punish yourself with a 2am workout. Everyone slips up and overeats some days. Everyone. But if you're walking around your day so hungry that it's making you feel terrible, either your calorie goal is too aggressive (Your profile says you have 13 pounds to lose. What is your goal loss each week?), or the foods you're eating aren't filling you up enough. Take care of yourself.0 -
Agree with the above - calories are what count and carbs are not inherently evil if they fit into your daily allowance. But you might think about whether you're drinking enough water - sometimes downing a tall glass of water can push the munchies away.0
