Holiday Health Tips?

Let's share some tips and suggestions for getting through the holidays while staying on track with our health and fitness goals! We've already gone through Thanksgiving, but as we look forward to the rest of December into the new year, how can we help each other not lose healthy habits over the holidays?

Some challenges:
-Moderation when eating all those delicious holiday treats and meals
-Lack of motivation to get off the couch and out of the house when it's cold outside
-Stress eating, and feeling like there's no time to cook healthy meals or get in daily exercise when our schedules are so busy

What are your best holiday-specific health and fitness tips??

    Plan! Plan if you have a special outing or meal to save calories. Plan to exercise every day - try to get it in early so you have the rest of the day. Have extra snacks on hand in case you need something to eat and there isn't anything that works for you, or you don't go to a special occasion starving.

    I've set a goal on my Garmin.....to run/walk 150 miles by the end of the month. I know myself....I'm such a rebel...that if I tell myself to eat healthy and in moderation I'll eat even more!! So for me, I plan to run it off!!
