Hello all!! I have been a user of MFP several times. First time was when I was on a low carb diet where I lost over 140lbs on then I got off it and have gained about 50lb back. I found that low carb is not ideal for TTC so I've vowed now to just eat healthier and reduce my calorie intake. I would love to have a friend to encourage and make sure I'm staying on my game and I can provide the same kind of support! Feel free to add me!!

I understand that! I know a lot have enough motivation do this on their own but I do best when I have encouragement and someone I know is needing me as well. I added you back hopefully we can be a great help for each other!

    welcome back :)
might i just add, you could probably up your calories & still keep losing. With a ways to go you might find it a bit better to have more than 1200. I tried 1200 & soon bumped up to 1600 & now i'm at 1470 & happy with that.
all the best to you in your journey :)

Hi, my goal is just a little over 1200 a day. I want to get my wedding rings back on for my 20 year anniversary. My next goal is to get back to the size of 5 --- that is a long way off since I wear a 24. I could use a support system. I want to gin nutritional knowledge. I desire to be happy and healthy. I have only just started this program but I have found it very helpful to track my food and how I feel.

the first two weeks I was always hungry but I found I had to eat a lot of veggies in between meals to keep me from not going crazy haha. (pealed carrots and had them ready to snack on, pears, raspberries, peppers). but after my stomach adjusted I find I don't need to snack much. if I do, its the foods I listed above or a vector protein bar. hope that helps!

I've been doing 1200cals per day for 40 days now. I find, for me, it's best to divide my calories this way; 50 for breakfast (that's the milk in my coffee,) 500 for lunch, 500 for dinner, and 150 bedtime snack. If I don't save up for dinner and late snack, I go to bed hungry and can't sleep.

Hi! :) I used to set my goal as 1200 cal but I almost always went over and was always hungry :( I recently upped it to 1700 based on the 1lb/week goal and so far I'm able to stay below that without much work. But I'd love to know how you guys manage on the 1200 cal plan so I can hopefully give it a try again later. Also I'm restarting after a loooong hiatus so I could definitely use support/motivation too feel free to add me

I'm on it too and a notorious night time snacker especially with a little one that goes to bed at 730... I've found pickles are the best snack if you love salty and savory foods otherwise if you like sweets there are tons of fat free sugar free puddings out there.

I actually am allowing up to 1500 not that I try to hit that but just so I don't feel deprived. I've enjoyed all the meals on that menu very much especially the chicken salad!!
