I just finished week 1 of Jillian Michaels's Body Revolution, and I really love it! I am a dancer(as a really serious time-consuming hobby:)), so I am not following it to the dot...I do the workouts from the schedule 5 days a week, have my dance classes 3x weekly(about 6 hours dance altogether) and in addition I have to leave extra time daily for practicing choreography or technique, or stretching etc. ...Eating wise I am not following her plan, but I have stopped eating junk food and I started drinking less coffee and no more bought juices or sodas. Other than that I'm just trying to keep balanced eating, and snack with fruit or veggies, nuts rather than unhealthy stuff.
After a week of the program I am honestly very happy. First, with all that extra training I think twice before buying junk food. Second, I started feeling like taking better care of myself so I'm drinking more water and getting vitamins. About half-way through the week, I felt my endurance and energy in dance increase a lot. I can not say if have lots weight. I weight myself on Wednesday, and it seemed like I even gained 1lbs...but I only weight/measure myself once a week, so I don't obsess over it.
However, I feel change already in my arms and abs, which are my weaker areas. My stomach is flatter for sure. And even my dance teacher noticed that I've lost weight. Since last week!
I am so happy! I don't know for measurements, but there is visible results, which is what I want the most. And of course the extra energy is amazing bonus as well! Oh, and for a while I have been using 2lbs weigthts (I have 2) and that is all I used this week. I thought my arms would be too weak for anything more. No matter how I train I've never used bigger weights before. I haven't really trained my arms much. But I am feeling stronger after this week, things get easier by the minute...so I just got `3.3lbs weights(=1.5kg). So happy with the program! Anyone else doing it?
