EEOC claims BMW is racist for background checks... what?
Anyone else read this? BMW is being sued by the EEOC for racial discrimination because it disqualified applicants for having a criminal background. Current employees had to re apply to work for a new logistics provider, and when background checks were performed 88 were found to have criminal convictions and were not offered employment per company policy. Because the majority of those found with previous criminal convictions are African American, the EEOC has laid claim that BMW is using background checks to racially discriminate against African Americans.

Don't apply if you have a criminal background.0

I can see both sides BMW needs to protect it's business, but it's wrong to continue to prosecute a person that has been tried and served their time.0
