i am sure it's clear why I had trouble googling an answer for this. Every result was a different work out plan.

Anyway, is there a rough guideline etc to how much muscle gains increase amount lift able?

Like say you gain a pound of muscle, can you tell how much more you should be able to lift?

This is more out of curiosity than anything else.

This is probably the "best guess" I've ever seen:

    http://www.strengtheory.com/your-drug-free-muscle-and-strength-potential-part-1/

    (there's a part 2 as well)

As you can probably guess, there's a million ways that muscle mass calculation can be inaccurate, as well as the resultant potential strength capabilities. But this is probably the most thorough overview I've read. Personally it was remarkably "accurate" when I input my own information and lifts.

I have more muscle now that I'm not doing strong lifts!!! When I was doing strong lifts and I mean lifts double what I can do now I had less muscle size......ill let you figure that one out lol

Muscle size doesn't necessarily equal stronger but more muscle size typically means the potential for more strength.

But yeah, totally check out the stuff Greg wrote on it like DopeItUp suggested. Really interesting stuff and was pretty accurate for me too.

I love Greg's site. He's always writing honestly about something interesting.
