Using multiple apps, please help me figure out what's tracking what!

I've gotten myself all confused now, and need some help figuring out what I'm doing!

I'm using MFP, the Jawbone UP app (with an UP2), and MapMyWalk.

I think I've figured out how Jawbone and UP exchange information. I'm just inputting my food in MFP, and letting UP track my steps for the day, and between them they're figuring out my calorie burn/deficit. (Right????)

I've added MapMyWalk to the mix. Jawbone is still tracking the steps like it was before. Is MapMyWalk also adding steps to the count? Am I "double dipping"???? It doesn't seem like it, but I want to be sure.

And I am about to start using the elliptical machine. I did a little "test" on it last night, just to learn what all the controls on the machine do, and to see if I could actually physically use the machine. I activated "MapMyWalk" and logged my entire 5 minutes on the machine (wheeeee!). The session sync'd to UP - it shows I did a 5-minute session on the elliptical. MMW showed I burned about 65 calories. I don't know if UP counted those 65 calories anywhere. (I'm not really concerned about 65 calories, but once I really start using the machine it'll be substantially more.)

What I want to know, before I start really using the machine, is are the elliptical calories accounted for automatically by UP (through the link with MMW)? Am I supposed to be ALSO logging it somewhere else? I see people's feeds show when they exercise and how many calories they're burning, but my exercises never show up in my feed, even though I've been using MMW for at least a week to log my walks.

I want to keep track of what I'm doing, but I don't want to double-count anything. HELP!
