Help! I'm Undereating A lot!!

I'm having an interesting obstacle with my daily calories. I've been under-eating by a lot recently. The reason is because I've changed my diet to include oatmeal for breakfast and my daily yogurt is only 80 cal. So the combination of all that protein and slow carb digestion has made me pretty full all day which is why I am not eating enough and therefore my calories are so low. I also only eat home-cooked meals which also contribute to my food being so low-cal. At night I start eating junk food to make up for the calories and then I end up overdoing it. Anyone have feedback?

What many people choose to do is go for low(er) fat options so they can eat more for fewer calories. If you go too far that direction, you may find that you're not eat much, calorie-wise. So, consider switching back some stuff. Fat isn't your enemy.

Get a yogurt with more fat in it. Add a little oil or butter to your cooking.

Have a peanut butter sandwich ;)

Try adding things to eat with your yogurt and oatmeal. I eat this everyday too and add Pb2 in with my Gluten free oatmeal and flax and chia seeds into my Greek yogurt. I also eat fruit and eggs inbetween meals. There is plenty of ways to mix up your daily menu, you just have to explore a little.

After a look at your diary, I don't see how it could be protein over-consumption, or that you're eating too much for breakfast. You don't log consistently, but when you do you're regularly below 50g protein. And often eating 0.25 cups of oatmeal for breakfast? I can't see how that would be filling for an entire day.

Ditch the low-cal substitutes. Eat food instead of diet candy. Fruit, nuts and nut butters, avocados etc.
