Ragnar training

This summer I'll be doing my first Ragnar relay and I'm wondering what people have done for training. As a distance runner (I love 13.1s and have done three 26.2s) I'd rather not follow one of their free "run for X minutes" plans). I've thought about doing a half marathon plan but five weeks out doing some two-a-days with a run the next morning (run before work, run after work, run the next morning). I'd also like to book a half marathon to do shortly before or after since it'll be in my typical half season. Anyone have any suggestions?

I ran one and alternated between two a days and running in the evening then first thing in the morning. I'm not much of a runner, but our team finished solidly in the middle of the pack.0

I just went out and did it. lol. In hindsight, I'd suggest adding some trail running, night running, and (steep) hill training to your training. It's a blast! We're doing another in the fall.0

For trail Ragnar Relays, yes. Be comfortable on the trails, especially in the dark. I did some trial runs beforehand and figured out pretty quickly I needed more light.
@RoyalMoose11, this is a road Ragnar Relay?0
