I buy the 'Alive! Whole Food Energizer' supplements. They give a noticeable amount of energy compared to when I forget to take one before I leave for the day, and they are made out of vegetable and fruit compounds instead of synthesized nutrients in a lab.
The nutrient label is for 3 pills daily, but I only take 1 a day since I bought them. I don't feel the need for THAT MUCH extra minerals and vitamins. I purposefully buy the 3 a day variety so I don't have to take one of the 1 per day versions.0 -
I don't take any, I am full of energy from eating right, exercising and sleeping enough. It's as combination a and one definitely affects the other (s). What ius your schedule like? What do you mean by crazy life? Are you getting enough exercise? Sleep?0

Six months ago, I became a vegetarian and I have noticed that recently my energy levels are down from what they used to be. I am running at a 6.7mph pace whereas I used to run closer to 8.5mph; I get nauseous and shaky if I don't eat lots of sugar constantly; and strangely, I am craving dark, leafy green vegetables (I know they are high-iron, high folate foods). I have begun to incorporate more servings of dark leafy greens and less high-sugar foods, such as fruit, but my energy is still low when I exercise. Can anyone recommend a women's multivitamin that works for them? Preferably, sourced from vegetarian/vegan and raw foods. Has anyone tried Integrative Therapeutics "Biotin Forte with Zinc"?0

You might want to consider having blood drawn and tested, specifically looking at your blood iron level, ferritin level, hematocrit, etc (basically anything iron related). Anemia or other low iron related issues are more common in vegetarians/vegans as well as more common in endurance athletes (trust me on that second part, I've learned the hard way) and will leave you feeling drained when exercising. If your results come back low you can try to boost your levels the natural way (not a bad option if your levels aren't too low) or through supplementation (I've yet to see an iron supplement that wouldn't be vegan friendly, so you should bve fine there).
Another note...different doctors will tell you that different levels are "good". Make sure to get the actual numbers from them, and remind then that you partake in endurance activity. You want your ferritin level (as one easy marker) over 30 at least, although a doctor might tell you that you're fine with it at 10 or something like that.0
