Is there a link between muscle pain and hunger?

My muscles were extremely sore yesterday from my Tuesday strength training workout and my intense cardio workout yesterday. Yesterday I didn't workout because I was too sore but I was also very hungry by dinner time and had cravings. I'd eaten about 1,200 calories up until dinner and walked a lot during lunch so I attributed it to that. I ate pasta and vegetables for dinner and a lot of thin mint cookies (a lot). Today my body feels much better- no muscle aches.
Can I attribute my hunger to my muscle pain and my body needing to recover; and can I credit my heavy dinner as to why I feel a lot better today?

I don't notice a relation to sore muscles but I do feel much more hungry immediately after strength training. The only thing that helps my sore muscles is time, plenty of water, and keeping them moving. Sore muscles are the worst on day 2 for me but much better on day 3.0

It probably has more to do with the calories that you burned during your recent workouts than your body responding to muscle pain.0

No, but there's a link between burning tons of calories and hunger!0
