Does this bother anyone else?

I have two friends on Social Media that make a living by Spamming our Facebook pages with Sales of these miracle "Wraps" that supposedly make you loose like 10lbs a week and make you super healthy. I just want to call them out on their BS so badly because they are whats wrong with the industry...posting these falsified quick fixes that do nothing but help you loose water weight if that but take all your money. As soon as you drink fluids or eat a meal your gain it right back! Wearing these wraps does nothing to help you get in shape or learn to eat properly. It takes actual hard work and discipline, a 200lbs woman is not going to get to 160lbs in 6 weeks because she wears a wrap on her waste and eats like crap. And both of these friends have been skinny since they were little, they never work out and yet they use their physique to promote the product...smh. The easiest thing to do would be to delete them, but they are actually friends I have known for more than 10 years so I guess ill just vent to you and continue to be annoyed by all their posts:(

Just hide their posts. I do that with most of my relatives.
I hate how people assume that if you are friends you want to partake in their latest stupid scheme. I have one that kept hounding me to host a jewellery party. No thanks if I want to help your business I'll ask0 -
I have one friend that is overly annoying with the wraps, and if that wasn't bad enough, now I have several friends that all of a sudden joined the thrive cult. It's everywhere, Thriven this, thriven that, blah blah. Take a multi vitamin, eat right and exercise. I have been "unfollowing" but not unfriending because like you, I have been friends with the majority of these girls since grade school0

Thats exactly what it is "Thriven" wraps ughhh fml.... If it were that simple everyone would jump on the band wagon. It annoys me because all those false claims is what had me spend hundreds on things like diet pills, trends, scams rather than actually put in the work...which is free mind you and helped the most.
But I like your idea to unfollow. I just did so hopefully I wont be bugged any more0 -
I wish one of my friends would do something like this. I would probably post a parody -- something like "Free Rap" and put up some semi-cryptic messages in the lyrics to a 30 second rap video.0

Is your friend actually making $2700 a week?0

Does her constant advertising and posts get people to buy the product yes...does the wrap actually help you to loose ten pounds a week and become a healthier you - No.0 -
My boyfriend's sister does this *kitten* all the freaking time. It's ridiculous. And she hates that I post about losing weight without using any of that because it hurts her business. Oh well0

All multi level marketing crap drives me nuts, and very few of them actually earn a liveable income. Most work real jobs to support themselves and then claim how they make a ton selling the products ( because they want to rope you in too !)
Anyone who promotes that crap is not worthy of my friendship ,honestly they aren't even worthy enough to be around me at all. So delete them and move on. Those people are what's wrong with the fitness industry and take advantage of desperate naïve people. They are the equivalent to pond scum in my book.0 -

It's true I'm like losing weight is hard *kitten* work. I bust my *kitten* so for them to make it see like you can just drop 10lbs over night pisses me off!

U know I often wondered if my friend that brags about all the money she makes selling that *kitten* was telling the truth because her husband is a cashier at CVS so why would he be working their if they were as rich as she claims. Or is it to rope her into her products

Its a common trick. They will brag that they've made 2,000$ in a week just to try to rope you in. In all reality, they are usually earning about an extra 50$ per week.0 -

Love this.
Next snake oil thread, I will show off a new rap I've written about my food scale. ( don't want to derail this ops thread because its useful info for people who may believe mlm is really a good way to earn money. )0 -

Op- here on mfp we get plenty of mlm people that try to sell their crappy products. They will add friends and then send out messages trying to push their products on newcomers who don't know any better ( if this happens to you or anyone reading this- email a mod right away. Mfp is not allowed to be used to sell mlm scams )they will even make threads saying they want to help people lose weight. Well one time we questioned this one girl so hard that she actually broke down and told the truth. ( that she knows the products don't really work but she was trying to earn extra money to support her baby ) she even admitted that she thought people on mfp where easy targets ( she really got burnt for that one ) but she let us know that her spiel was bogus and that she actually spends more then she makes on products some weeks , but usually spends about 7 hrs per day online looking for customers and makes about $50 per week profit.
Well let's add that up. ... Lol ! She could go work a minimum wage job and still earn more without having to rip off naïve people. ( there's a special spot in hell for those who take advantage of desperate people lol !)
So start calling out your mlm friends. They will either delete you, tell the truth or still try to peddle their crap. But you may save some naïve people from falling for it if they see you posting the truth!!

I would rather work a minimum wage job than try to sell *kitten* to my friends repeatedly and annoy them or spam perfect strangers. If I don't believe in the product I'm not putting my name on it
