Eating enough to lose weight without losing muscle mass

Hi, hopefully someone here can offer me some advice. So, I'm naturally slim and a very healthy eater but want to lose about 5lbs over the next 1-2 months, just for aesthetic reasons. And, I want to do so without losing muscle mass, obviously. I've only just started logging again with MFP this week - I got back into running about 2 months ago but hadn't lost any weight so started tracking my food as well.
My issue is hunger. I have my net calorie goal sitting at 1400 daily and I run three or four times a week for about 45-50 minutes as well as doing some bodyweight exercises (squats, arm circles, donkey kicks, heel taps, etc etc) for about 15 minutes every other day. Even with eating back my exercise calories I am hungry, and not just craving sweets or bored and munchy but, like, stomach-growling, feeling-faint hungry! Feel free to check out my diary for an idea of what I eat, I try to keep my carbs down.
I am 165cm/5'5" and weigh 57kg/125lbs, I am a broke-*kitten* student which is why my meals can be a bit repetitive, and why I'm not booked in with a dietitian!
My question I guess is should I be eating more? Could I still lose weight while eating more than the 1400 cals?

My guess is yes...you should be eating more with all that running. I don't run and my calorie allotment is 1460. If I were running, the app would be having me eating more than that.

Thanks, common sense says I should listen to my body and not an app(!) but I still feel like I'm not getting anywhere!
