The last time I went I brought some dark chocolate covered pomegranates.0

Well short of taking something with you I wouldn't know what to tell you cause I work the movie popcorn into my day when we go to the movies.. There is just some things worth the calories and that is definitely one of them.... lol... Best of Luck...0

Twizzlers. It's always been my movie food. But I've also brought apple slices and dried cranberries with me.0
-
I eat before or after I go. Not paying good money for that crap.0

I have taken grapes, fiber one bars oe mini rice cakes in with me, they do sell frozen yogurt or soft pretzles that would probably be the best choice if u want to buy something there0

Almonds, pistachios, a fresh berry mix (blueberries, raspberries, blackberries ... maybe cherries) ... grapes ...0

Frozen grapes0

Graham crackers, a bottle of water maybe. A package of Snackwell cookies. Something to munch on, you can even pop your own popcorn and take some in a baggie. It's hard to get worse than theatre popcorn and I absolutely don't drink cokes any more....I just have to get PAST the yummy smell of popcorn, after the lobby, I'm fine!!0

I always put pretzel sticks for a crunch and grapes or raisins for something sweet in my purse... I wont pay $15 for junk.0

Frozen grapes
Bingo. That sounds like a sweet treat that might just work for me.0 -
If I'm hungry, I'll sneak in a subway.
I think movie food is nasty. (Both appearance and taste)0 -
I usually don't eat anything, i just enjoy the movie. If i did bring anything it probably just be some carrots, cucumber or celery so i can get the crunch factor without the guilt. The extra nutrients don't hurt either0

I've researched the calories in those popcorns and a medium is around 800 calories alone. I stopped buying candy and popcorn at the movies and just bring my own healthy snacks like a nutrigrain bar, or similar.0

Nachos with extra peppers and extra onions!!!0

I love popcorn, so that's what I always eat. I'm assuming you want to avoid candy? Do you like beef jerky? You could bring in your own healthy snack if you preferred. Like trail mix, or a cut up apple and pb whatever you find tasty. I sneak in taco bell at times. :P Some theaters have really good "healthy" snacks now. Yogurt parfait?0

I always sneak in my own food. Usually popcorn made at home because the stuff at the movies has an INSANE amount of butter and such. Sometimes I bring candy too. I've also gotten creative and brought things like homemade sweet potato fries, cereal, fruit, nuts, etc. Basically anything I can fit in my purse0

I just sneak in a bottle of water and go after I have eaten.0

Oh I plan in advance for a night at the movies. I already know I'm either having popcorn with butter or Nachos w/cheese AND a large regular coke Possibly M&M's or junior mints on the side. I don't go often, so when I do I eat what I want.
I do have to say that a friend put me on to dark chocolate pomegranate seeds, and if you haven't tried them you need to rectify this asap. Pretty much sexy time in your mouth good.0 -
this is very boring.. but I bring in carrot sticks or nuts. there isn't really anything to get there that is any good... though our theater has coffee and tea as well now so sometimes just having a hot drink is nice :-)0

i smuggle in homemade trail mix and small bags of fruit....im not going to pay a small fortune for movie food!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!0

I used to get the choc covered icecream and a salty popcorn (and I used to weight almost 20kg more). One time friends and I took large meat pizzas (one each!) into a showing of Charlie & the Chocolate Factory.
There are many studies showing that people eat mindlessly at the movies, regardless of hunger or even if the food tastes any good (google Brian Wansink - Mindless Eating for an excellent example) - that and the ridiculous cost of things made me realise it was a habit worth abandoning.0 -
I have to admit - I like giving into mindless eating at the movies. (That's why I need a good food to manage the munchies!)0
-
I don't.
I'll plan on something to eat afterwards, but for me eating at the movies ...in the dark, with a distraction...means I'm consuming food without appreciating it.0 -
I "must" eat something in the movie theatre.. so either I work the calories in for a small ketllecorn, or I bring a pack of chips or m&ms in there.0
-
I stopped buying any movie theater food.0

Nothing. I eat before I go. We buy a kid's popcorn, candy box, and small drink for my little one. But hubby and I do not usually indulge. It's only an hour and a half, at the most 2 hours. We can wait and have something healthy when we get home.0
