I found this reading a journal article on how body fat and weight loss isn't tied strictly to cutting 3500 calories per pound of fat. The article was geared toward dieticians and doctors and in essence discussed how people are different and weight loss must be done with patience. Anyway this was a neat site.

Kevin Hall's mathematical weight loss model. It's an interesting tool, but doesn't validate well on the early stages of some diets. Good for illustrating concepts like stalls though.0
