carbs and fiber

does anyone subtract the amout of fiber from carbs in nutrients?

    Yes if it is 4gms of fiber or greater per serving.

    I don't but I try to eat fiber for other reasons.

    No. If you are moderating your carbs for health reasons, you can count only total carbs. Net carbs numbers are meaningless.

    Those who are following a low carb/keto diet do, but that is a different animal.

    No because I'm not American and therefore don't have the "total carbs" nonsense in the first place. Fibre is reported separately in most other places.

    It depends on whether the entry already has fiber subtracted (like "Quest Cookies and Cream -net carbs") or not (like "Quest Cookies and Cream" or "Quest Cookies and Cream -Minus sugar alcohols"). I take insulin based off how many net carbs I am consuming, which ends up being total carbohydrates minus dietary fiber and minus sugar alcohols (because fiber and sugar alcohols have minimal effects on my BG).

    No. I just make sure to get over 25g a fiber a day.
