I am looking for some friends to keep me going on my journey. Over 40's very welcome, but happy to accept anyone who wants to motivate and encourage each other.
I started my journey in July 13. I was 40, 230lbs and something needed to change. I revamped my diet, joined a gym and worked hard. I now train 5 times a week - I love it.
My journey is just beginning, I am now 202lbs, the scales seem stuck on this but my body shape is improving and body fat dropping. I no longer stress around the scales - I eat clean, work hard and know that good things will happen.
6 months ago I used to read the message boards and wonder if I could achieve the great things others have.
My advice - read the message boards there are a great source of information and inspiration. Use the calorie counter to see exactly what you are eating, i was shocked to see the amount of junk i was comsuming. If you are just starting, keep going! I have had bad days, there have been times when you wonder when you will see changes - keep going! eat sensibly and do some exercise, even small changes will bring benifits. Don't put it off tomorrow, do it today. Just think where you could be in 6 months.
