Hey guys so I am pregnant going onto my 10th week and I go on my treadmill daily at 3 mph at 10% incline for 95 minutes. I am 5'9 23 yrs old and 145 lbs. My doctor told me to eat at least 1800 calories plus what I burn, but I looked at treadmill calorie calculators and it says I burn 800 calories on the treadmill, is that right?

The treadmill is probably wrong. They overestimate. I would probably take 400-500 max

    Cardio machines are not accurate.

Make sure you add in at least 500 calories, however. 2300 for the day.

Treadmill is wrong. Heart rate monitor would be more accurate.

I'm not basing my calorie burn off of my treadmill though, it's an online calculator

It depends on effort. For max effort (running), the average person burns around 10 cals a minute. For walking at an incline I would say less, maybe 6-8 cals a minute which would be around 600-700 cals for your 95 minute workout.

That's a complete estimate though, it completely depends on your level of effort and other factors. The only way to get a good estimate would be to use a heart rate monitor.

The calculator is probably estimating a little high but fairly close. Maybe go with around 75% of what the calculator tells you?

Shapesense calculator for net is going to be about the best you will find. I'd trust it. So at least 450-500 + the 1800. And tell your doctor about the exercise you are doing.
