My back is complaining

I walked 5 brisk miles on Saturday and another 5 on Sunday, having not walked for a week because of dark evenings, though I have been using the eliptical at the gym. Then I stood for 2 back to back gigs with my choir yesterday. My back has gone into shock. I didn't see that coming! Any ideas to loosen it up?

    I would do some stretches followed by a warm bath or heating pad.
    If I have spent a long time standing in one place I find doing a series of un-weighted squats, pausing for a few seconds at the bottom really relieves the tightness in my lower back.
