I have been using MFP on and off for about 4 years. I've had some successes and then had some set backs but I'm feeling ready to recommit after talking with a dear friend.
I'm a Project Manager and I work primarily on process improvement projects. My friend asked me why I don't use some of my professional tools on myself. I try to be very supportive of my project teams and encourage them when "progress is not always linear". I coach that we measure the process before we measure the outcome because the outcome takes time to reveal itself. My friend pointed out that I am not nearly as kind to myself.
Last week I felt motivated to start tracking the "waste in my process" and started seeing clear patterns in my behavior. I started to remember that I have the skills to succeed. That I don't have to continue approaching myself with criticism and impossible standards. I just need to start working on my process knowing that my outcomes will reveal themselves.
I just felt like sharing that and saying hello.
