Carbs, protein, potassium, vitamins - OH MY!

So after reviewing my food diary I've noticed some problems.

My Carb and Fiber intake is usually too low.
My Protein and Potassium intake is usually close.
My Sodium intake is usually too high.

Soooo, I get paid in about a week and I'll get to go shopping, so any suggestions?

Multi Vitamin pills?

Certain foods to help with each problem?

ANYTHING PLEASE!

Also, are those the important things to worry about or should I change MFP settings and worry about others?

I'm a mess lol HELP!

Fruit/sweet potatoes will help with the fiber and carbs, decrease processed foods to reduce sodium. Hope that helps.

Carb is ok. MFP recommendation is pretty high. I wouldn't worry too much about that.

FIber - I'd definitely work on getting closer to goal. Won't hurt weight loss progress but its pretty beneficial.

Protein - MFP is pretty low on their recommendation so hit it or go over.

Potassium - keep in mind that it is not required on nutrition labels and many foods in the database that contain it don't have it listed. So it is possible you are getting more than your diary shows.

Sodium - I don't worry about it unless you have a medical conditions. But if you want to drop the number read labels, learn where it is coming from and find other option, either lower sodium options or make your own.

Fiber-eat whole grains (look for the "whole ...." as the first ingredient), beans, whole vegetables and fruits with skins. You can even stick in a fiber supplement like metamucil if you want.

I very much enjoy lentils&rice with pico de gio or salsa. Excellent fiber (and protein and vegetable) intake, low-calorie, and super tasty!

I'll have to get you the recipe tomorrow, when I'm not an insomnizombie XD

Fiber - Fiber one cereal: 60 calories per serving, 14 grams of fiber

Multivitamin - Kirkland Daily Multi, USP Verified

Carbs - Don't worry about being under your carb intake, there is no minimum amount of carbs your body needs

Protein - Make sure you try to eat .82g/lb of body weight in protein a day: chicken, beef, eggs, cheese, peanut butter etc.

Certainly the last part is true. Most days I have no problem staying below the sodium number. Today I ate a deli turkey sandwich and immediately went over at lunch even though I was at that point still less than half my calorie intake.

Easiest way to cut sodium is clean up your menus...meaning eat less processed items and if you do need to buy some processed items stick to the lower sodium items. But, as others have said...unless you have reason to keep a close eye on sodium I wouldn't worry about it so much.
