How do YOU know you are on your "A-Game?"

For me, I know I'm on my A-Game when I am totally focused and I don't battle myself with temptation. I know I'm on my A-Game when I go to a movie and don't even care to eat snacks or dip into popcorn.

How do YOU know you are on your A-Game?????

That's great that you've found that you can return to your course while making a quick temptation pit stop. Truth is, I haven't gotten there yet in terms of finding balance and this post makes me really rethink how I label days as good/bad.

I know I am on my A-Game when I can wake up, throw on my workout clothes and not look back at the bed longing ly.

i don't tend to look at individual days in isolation as "good" or "bad"...thinking you're going to be 100% on all of the time is an unrealistic expectation. i tend to look at the bigger picture...weeks, months, and at this point years...what is my overall lifestyle like over time.

this coming spring will mark 3 years of maintaining my weight loss...i eat very healthfully most of the time, but i sill go out for pizza with my kiddos...we still go to movies and get popcorn...i still indulge on holidays and other special occasions, etc...i don't see these things as fails...i see them as a part of living and enjoying life and i understand that as the bigger picture goes, hitting up a movie from time to time and having some popcorn is pretty irrelevant.

I'm truly on my A-game when I'm exercising regularly. It sets the tone for a positive, healthy day full of smarter choices. When I get out of my regular exercise routine, temptation is much harder for me to resist.

I'm on my A game when I stay just below my 1200 calories. This time of year is very hard for me as I have a huge sweet tooth. Learning moderation is s slow process but one that I'm determined to master!

I am on my A game when I really feel like taking walks even after a long day at work, I bring lots of extra water with me everywhere, I log every day (including Saturdays which I've sometimes been lax about), and I find myself being extra hyper and dancing randomly.

^ A game for me too - the take water everywhere means I'm paying attention to thinking ahead...yep A Game for me involves planning and logging.

Love the dancing. Yes especially when cleaning or doing other mundane tasks. It burns more calories and makes anything more fun. :)
