Does it interfere with gaining?

If you are eating at a net surplus, than no. Net surplus (assuming you are following MFP, of course) meaning you are netting the number MFP gave you that includes breastfeeding.
I think there used to be an option to add breastfeeding via the cardio exercise route but if not, you can create one yourself. I think most people do 300-500 calories.
I would verify with your doctor, though.0 -
OK if you are exclusively breastfeeding add in 500 calories (under cardio exercise or a negative adjustment under food, whichever you prefer). Eat those calories along with the calories that mfp gave you to gain weight. Wait a few weeks and adjust as needed. You do not need to verify with your doctor.0

When I started my bulk last year I was nursing 2-3x per day. Just be sure to account for the calories and adjust as needed.0
