How Accurate is Runkeeper?

In terms of calorie calculations? I know they say MFP calculations are pretty off, is it the same for all apps, or are ones like run keeper a little more accurate? I generally only eat back half of the calories anyways, but I want to make sure !

Use it for a few weeks and see how it works for "you". You have to make adjustments to your diet until you find the right mix. Start by eating 1/2 to 2/3 of the calories for a week or 2 and see if you gain, lose, or stay the same. Then adjust up or down depending on your goals.

For what activity? Running and walking can be checked against standard formulae.
For cycling I don't find Runkeeper at all accurate - too many variables that a simple GPS app can't take into account.

It would be for running/walking! And I didn't even think to do that, but it doesn't appear to be too off, so that's good!

I've found it to be the most accurate compared to treadmills and MFP, but I'm still not convinced it takes into account enough variables to be truly accurate. The 'only eat back half the calories' rule has always worked for me when I'm at maintenance, but as someone said above, it will take a bit of trial and error to find what works for you.
