Am or Pm

Is there any benefits to working out in the morning opposed to the nighttime

I know you stay busy but I'm wondering if there's any benefits to it

IMHO, there is no added benefits as to the time of day that you workout. Workout at what ever time you can fit it in to your schedule.

It depends on your own personal energy cycle. When are you most energized? I'm a morning person so it's AM hands-down. After 9:00 PM I turn in to a pumpkin.

It's all up to you. I get up at 5 to work out first thing in the morning because I know I'm too tired to go home and work out after working a 10 hour day.

fitness is fitness...putting in the work is important...when you put in the work is irrelevant.

It's a matter of personal preference. I've never seen evidence that AM vs PM workouts make a big enough difference to sway me one way or another.

At one point I was going in the morning and someone talk me into going at night and for some reason I thought it was a benefit in the morning

Now I've finally getting this mid day thing down due to my work schedule..

I'm still a morning person when I wake up

Yep, just do what you like best.

I used to do all morning workouts. Then I started doing some in the afternoon, some in the evening. I pretty much do them at all times now.

Omg that was my initial answer but I didn't want to sound crazy cause I feel like I don't have a sex schedule ... I get it in when it's best I guess

the best time to work out is when you will actually do it.

Yep. I don't want to wake up a 5 AM to work out. So I do it at home when I get home from work 5:15 to 6:15 PM mas o menos, walk the dog, shower and fix dinner. If the family wants to eat earlier, they can fix dinner. the best time for you IS the best time.

A possible benefit of AM workouts is a psychological one. If you work out in the AM you get to pat yourself on the back for a job well done. Because you started your day off right, perhaps you will carry that thru the rest of the day. You might pass on that doughnut so you don't "undo" your workout.

But overall - be consistent. If that is more likely in the PM, then stick with that.
