I'm 5'8 weighing 172.3 lbs 22% body fat i want to lose as much weight as possible before spring break

    The basic rule is to eat less calories than you burn in a day (roughly 500 deficit)

    Buy a food scale. Weigh and log everything you eat. Eat the amount of calories MFP gave you each day.

    You'll lose weight.

    tip: consistency. be consistent in weighing your food, logging your food, drinking water, getting good rest, getting some sort of exercise (do something you love), and staying at your calorie goal. If you are consistent and are eating a deficit, you will lose as much as you safely/healthily can.

    I think another poster was saying this already, but I just want to emphasize- eat ALL your allotted calories. It seems counterintuitive to eat more to lose, but just trust it.
