Matcha powder

I just recently started drinking matcha tea, and I was wondering how everyone else liked to use matcha powder? I just put a teaspoon in a blender bottle with water every morning, maybe add a packet of splenda, shake it up, and drink!

Can you explain what it tastes like? I've tried green tea and intensely dislike it. Is matcha a stronger tasting green tea?0

Sometimes I will put it in a smoothie with raw cacao powder or sometimes I'll just make a cup. Every now and then I use a little raw honey when I just make the tea - really good!0

It's stronger than green tea imo. However, if you use water less than 175 degrees F it isn't very bitter. Honey makes the flavour quite pleasant.0 -

I tried it because I got a tin of it free, hated it!0 -

Much stronger, and it doesn't mix the best either. I love green tea but matcha is awful.0 -
Did you know that Costco has a green tea that has Matcha and Sencha? Worth the price of membership. Be aware it takes a "seasoned" green tea drinker to like this taste otherwise, you will probably hate it. Take a look at your local store, since not all Costco's may sell this.0

I use matcha powder all the time, I love the taste (yes it's strong, kinda grassy...hard to explain). Make sure to get the pure stuff, not the matcha that is mixed with milk powder or sugar...or whatever else. Pure matcha mixes well and is available at any Asian grocery store.
Anyways I use it to make matcha chocolate chip cookies, matcha latte, I add it to vanilla yogurt, make matcha coconut blondie bars (my favourite), put it in a pancake mix...etc.0 -
I use it in my cold water with some drops of citrus essential oil. But I use a way smaller scoop than recommended. 1/8tsp per 500 ml of water. I like that it gives me a bit of a slow energy boost but any stronger and it upsets my stomach. I have also put it in smoothies and dark chocolate protein bites.0

I like green tea bags with added matcha. I drink tea without sweeteners.0

i use the non ceremonial grade in green smoothies and sometimes in my yogurt/almond milk/banana/hemp heart shakes.
the ceremonial grade, i treat it like gold and rarely drink it for it is too darn expensive and its too easy to screw up the flavor!
when I do make it, i warm water to 150-160 degrees, warm cup up, add 1/2 tsp with 2oz of water and use bamboo whisk to froth it up, i add about 4 more ounces of water afterwards and add 2 drops of ezsweetz and whisk it again. i drink it pretty quickly afterwards cause it gets bitter/grassy tasting as it sits to me and it makes me not want to drink it (its growing on me but, i am really not a tea person, i only drink matcha for its health benefits)
never tried either versions with just cold water, think i will do so tomorrow!
