weight loss on insulin

Is anyone else out there diabetic? I was just put on insulin (in March), and the doctor is pleased with my diet, exercise, etc. He isnot surprised that I have not lost weight, as my body is adjusting to everything. I have stuck to everything faithfully, but am slow in losing weight. Does anyone else deal with this? I have decided just to keep going, and ignore the scale until I see the doctor again in September. I feel lots better since deciding to take care of myself. I just need a little boost from any of you out there.
