I recently had a baby (back in May) and nothing I do is helping me lose the weight anymore. Everything I did prior to getting pregnant to lose weight is not working. I have decreased my calorie intake, increased my calorie intake, taken things out of my diet, drank more water, exercised more, and exercised less. I'm starting to think its a hormone problem. I am at a loss here. I am stuck at 161 no matter what I do!

Do you use a food scale to weigh everything solid? How do you calculate your exercise burn?

Research the Ketogenic Diet. Best Option, but not for mere mortals! ;)

I use a heart rate monitor watch to calculate calories burned and I measure my food by the cup. I don't really eat meat often.

Not reliable IMO. Need a food scale to get a accurate count of what you are eating.

It really doesn't matter what you eat, if you are not logging you input and stalling on losing, a digital food scale is needed. Cups are inefficient and can allow you way too many calories.

Get a scale and weigh your food. Use liquid measuring cups and spoons for all your non solids.

This is a tried and true method of calorie intake control.

    Cheers, h.

Unless I drastically reduce calories, at first it always takes me longer to register a loss. I don't get it. But it doesn't matter, because it always works after several weeks. I just count the first month at least as warming up or something, lol.

How long have you given it consistently with the lowered calories? Most people do have logging issues, yes, but we're also pretty darned impatient, imho ;)

Are you breastfeeding?? Because you shouldn't be tying to lose now if that's the case. Even if not, it isn't natural to lose with an infant. Your body wants to store to support the infant. Patience! Do the right things and eventually it will come.
