Is it a diet? Not an eating pattern?
If eating one meal per day suits you, it will work.
Losing weight is just about taking in fewer calories than you expend.
Getting all the nutrients you need and eating at a reasonable calorie level is important for physical health.
Eating food you like in a way that doesn't get in conflict with the rest of your life (schedule, family, faith, economy) is important for sanity.
Any diet that has these traits will work. Nothing else matters.
From the number of posts at this moment (2) and the nature of your query I assume that you are new to weight loss, dieting and nutrition? I would advice you to not do any great changes in the beginning. Instead, start with just filling out your food diary. Weigh everything and check with the label that the information is correct. Try to hit your calorie goal every day. Then after a while, if you feel unsatisfied, you can see if you are getting in proper nutrition or if something should be adjusted a bit.0 -

Outstanding advice.
I would like to also add that one meal a day is a way of eating for many people and not intended to be a diet. In other words, a person's one meal a day contains their entire deficit calorie allowance so they get their nutrients. By the way, you can still gain weight on one meal a day if you eat more calories than you burn.0
