Salty tooth

Any other women on here who could quit eating sweets forever and not miss them, but can't get enough salty (usually deep fried) foods?
I could live on chips and red wine!

Yes. I can leave sweet foods alone more than salty foods.
Things like crackers, chips, cheese, popcorn, bread, pickles, olives, ham, bacon are all very easy for me to go overboard on.
Dh brought home some very salty sour lime chips recently. He did not get any of those chips. I told him if he got that flavor again he needed to take it to work.

Every single thing you listed are favorites of mine. My husband buys mesquite BBQ chips because they're the only kind I won't devour like a wolverine (too sweet). Otherwise he won't get any chips.

I would take cheese and chips over sweets any day.

Don't even get me started on cheese. I found this caramelized onion/balsamic aged cheddar...to die for.

Other than some Splenda in my coffee, I don't remember the last sweet thing I ate. It's been months. Many months. Doesn't bother me in the slightest. I don't even think about sweet foods. Ever. But chips and pretzels and fries and cheese -- oh my. Yes!

Yep! Same boat. When I feel a salty craving come on, I air pop some yellow popcorn (in a brown bag in the microwave), spray it down with a little bit of cooking spray and add salt and nutritional yeast. It does the trick for way fewer calories.

Yep ... no problem at all giving up chocolate. Didn't crave it one bit when I decided to give it up for my first month here. So much so, I have rarely touched it since.

But potato chips are another story. Thank goodness for pickles.
