an abs and tum question

Don't really know what to call this post but I've notices when I do lots of ab workouts (variations of sit ups, crunches etc)
I notice some definition, the longer I do it the more defined BUT I don't get a "flatter " tummy. It's "flabby" but it's not really flat.
Question is, how could I get a flat(ish) tum ?

Sit ups and crunches don't get rid of flab. Cardio does. Burn more calories than you eat/drink. The ab workouts you are doing will help because they build muscle, which will give you a leaner look and better cardio burns. Keep up the good work!0

When you work a muscle, it does get bigger for a short amount of time. It's called muscle hypertrophy. The flab has more to do with diet (specifically, a calorie deficit diet). A calorie deficit diet will make the body draw upon your bodyfat (which is essentially stored calories) for energy when you workout. For most people, the belly tends to be one of the last areas in which this occurs because it genetically stores more bodyfat in that area. So keep working at it. The ab work is beneficial in that when the bodyfat diminishes, you'll see some definition from those ab muscles even when you're not working out. Keep up the great work!0

Cardio doesn't get rid of flab around the midsection. A caloric deficit and patience does. Exercise can assist in the caloric deficit whether it be cardio, lifting, or as I would recommend...a mixture of both.
The ab workouts won't build muscle at a deficit. It will help build core strength, but not build muscle.0 -

all of the above.
do the core exercises to build strength
watch the diet to lose fat
with the two combined, eventually the abs will show up.
but it takes time, patience, and hard work.0 -

Its real simple. First off you MUST know that Water intake is extremly important when destroying BF%.
Which is followed by Nutrition. I havent eaten fast food or sodas in ....idk how long lol and its SHOWN lol.
30%Nutrion - 70% Fitness. Its also good to know what foods to take in while doing this and the amount.
Veggies and fruit are great. Be light on dairy and sugars.
Fitness-
If your going to work out, i recommend the Morning. And if you have time Lunch or after work.
Important to stretch 5mins and light workout to warm up your body. Never workout witha cold body.
ABs-
If you have a pull-up bar, Best workouts to start with are 20-25- knee raises, then 15-20 Leg raises. Once masterd try the Hanging Oblique twist. ( these workouts can also be done laying down with both hands under the butt.)
Of course sit-ups
Bicycle Cruches
V-sit-up
Russian twist w/ weights
The list can go on but to start off that should do. Another important key. RUN.sprint if yuo can. Best Fat burner out there. so run twice a week! Once you have those workouts masterd raise your reps!
PS: To intense the workout with leg raises, hold a 5-10lbs weight between your feet. Hope I have helped.:glasses:0
