So Im on MFP and been at the gym for 30 days now and figured Id try not let the scale get to me but rather track my progress in the gym. SInce day 1, Ive noticed that I can run longer, Spin longer without taking breaks or half-assing it, make my reps a little easier when I lift and just feel a little better. I started out at about 256 at the end of MAY. My goal is to be at about 200ish around october/november. Today I got on the scale and im STILL 252. I was baffled. I stood there and almost wanted to cry. I dont understand it. When I was eating anything I wanted I would fluctuate between 250 and 255 and now that Im eating WAY better and going to the gym Im 252? I know people are going to say dont worry about the scale but I cant help it. My main focus is on cardio with light lifting twice a week. I spin tuesdays and thursdays, lift monday and wednesdays and just do cardio on fridays. After spinning and the trainer I do add a little more cardio in there as well. Its nothing crazy, Just some walking on the treadmill for 30-45 mins or so. I just dont get it... why amd I the same weight now that Im taking care of myself than I was when I was eating garbage? If this keeps up Im just gonna eat anything and screw it!

You are working out SO hard!!! You're building crazy muscle...and soon, you will see the rest melt away. You have to burn it off...and it will. Hundreds of Thousands of people do it every single day...why do you think you're not going to??? You may be eating healthier...and working out...but DUDE...30 days? You've lost weight...it's not like you're GAINING. It's a slow process. My cousin posted something on my face book...it takes a year to get rid of one doughnut from your body. Think about that. A YEAR. Be patient...don't stop...don't give up. Think about where you want to be...use MFP as a resource for advice, and guidance. You will do this..you can. You're not different that the girl who wants to lose 20 lbs to the guy who wants to lose 300 lbs. We're all here to better ourselves...and to attain personal goals. I have faith that if you really want this...you can do it. It's not a temporary thing...this is a lifestyle...and a change, in the long run, that will make you a happier and healthier person.0

anj1030 is correct. The thing you need to keep in the back of your mind is that you didn't gain weight over night and it won't come off over night.
However, I will say that 30 days is enough to see more change. What I would suggest is that you run your TDEE/BMR, and all that to make sure you're eating enough or no too much. I'm CONSTANTLY tweeking my intake based on bulking/cutting etc.
The most important thing is DON'T GIVE UP! We are here to help you and want to see you succeed.0
