Substitute for butter in baking

In place of butter I have stated using coconut oil.

    Any oil will work. I bake almost exclusively with olive oil. No modifications needed in any recipe so far. Every oil gives a different texture to biscuits, so it takes some experimenting to figure out what works best to your taste per recipe, but for most cookies, breads, cakes, pies etc, it makes little to no difference.
