I admire and respect Ben Greenfield. I think 95-99% of the time, he's providing science-based/evidence-based fitness information. On twitter, I think he's known to tweet links to articles about dubious research (of which, he will correct in later tweets, when called out - and that's a good thing). But I've never read or listened to (his podcast) his Quick and Dirty Tips and found something that was flat-out wrong. I think they are (in most instances) very helpful information. A few are probably "meh" (not wrong, but not particularly useful).

If you're looking for someone like him, but who focuses on nutrition, you will find a counterpart in Monica Reinagal (aka "the Nutrition Diva") who I think is also very evidence-based. http://nutritiondiva.quickanddirtytips.com/

    Truth.

Alan Aragon is my favorite source for nutrition-related information. I'm a huge admirer of Layne too, but he might not be as accessible since he has a particular emphasis to the serious fitness/nutrition folks (athletes, competitors, etc.). But he's definitely a must-follow on Twitter or Facebook. Both of them are on Facebook - you can follow Alan Aragon, and like Layne's page. Layne is on Twitter as well.
  • Thanks guys! I'm always up for some reading! knowledge is power! For both brain and body.. (:
