T25 - is it a good idea for me?

For all of you experienced Shaun T people out there -- I'm about 70 lbs overweight right now -- I've already lost 70. Is it too soon for me to start a program like Focus T25? I'm 53yo, 5'6" and about 222 lbs right now. I was thinking about Insanity but I think it may be far too advanced for me at this weight. I like that T25 is for 25-30 mins 5 days/week. I'm a single parent, so my time is very limited.

Right now, I'm doing a hybrid of Hip Hop Abs and Tracy Anderson Metamorphosis, but it's not doing the trick. I need to jump start my weight loss. I've been exercising religiously about 5-6 days/week for the past 6 months, so my energy level is pretty good. My biggest obstacle is the extra weight on my 53yo joints.

I appreciate your opinions. Thank you!

Shaun T said the program was for beginner to more advance people and there was modified moves on every exercices so people can adapt to their fitness level.

I am sure you will be fine. You can always try the program and send it back it if you don't like it. Beachbody got a 30 day money back guarantee.

And right now they offer free shipping on the program and you will get a free workout dvd with it if you order through a coach.
  • Thanks for the reply. I'm going to take a chance -- can't beat a 30-day guarantee. I just ordered it and will hopefully have it in a week.

I would like to know how you like it. I'm 228 and have been working out for almost 3 months and would like to get it when I have some extra $

I've done about half the workouts, and it is awesome.
Because I am a glutton for punishment, I'll do two of the workouts back to back for a total of 50 minutes.

Sure, it's only 25 minutes per workout, but it's 25 minutes straight with no rest period or breaks, so you get a lot crammed in that short period of time.

I feel beat after I am done, but I also feel great...........like that "I just had a good workout" kind of great.

I started Insanity at roughly 90 lbs over weight. Took off 25 lbs in 63 days. Double up on insoles, stay atop your caloric intake and macros, especially protein for recovery. It works.
