Just enjoy dinner and log to the best of your ability. One meal out of thousands is hardly worth getting worked up over.0

Portion control. You can eat the lean turkey or lean ham. But careful with the mashed potatoes and side dishes that can contain high amounts of sugar and fat. I have a grandma that makes her mashed potatoes with two sticks of butter and sour cream. A cup of bacon fat is added to her green bean casserole topped with durkee onions. Stuffing is made with fat back (whatever that is). Everyone loves her cooking.0

I agree with what's above. Do the best you can. If it's a situation where you can offer to bring a dish (always ask first!!!!) then make a side dish that's "safe" for you. Something with roasted squash might be a good choice to go with typical holiday meals.0

Check with the cook if you can about how much oil is in the stuffing and so on. Some foods will be easy to guess like turkey or ham.
Seriously. Eat reasonable potions, make good guesses on logging if you want, and be o.k. with not being in control.
