Is it alright to repeat the same set of circuit training exercises for more than a month?

The schedule is made for a week. & it covers almost all the muscle groups in the body! So, is it alright to repeat for more than a month? Will the result decline with time?

I do cardio (Treadmill, Cross-trainer, Bicycle) for about an hour daily + An hour of Zumba along with an hour of other group classes every alternate days.

Is this a bodyweight circuit or using weight machines? Maybe try increasing the difficulty every week (add a rep or two to each set, use a little more weight, etc).

If you're progressing with weights, incline or intensity then yes

Your full body circuit should be fine as long as you do a progressive overload. Increase your weight each week until you can't complete the last rep of the last set you completed the week before and then when you can, increase again, rinse and repeat. The only thing I see that's bad about doing the same workout from month to month is that you may end up neglecting muscles that you would hit doing different exercises, especially with machines. Your body can get used to doing the same exercises and increases and strength will slow down. Variation in exercise routine is a good thing. You also seem to be doing a lot of cardio work. My suggestion would be to cut back on some of the cardio and increase your intensity with your weight routine. A lot of women try to run, aerobics or spin themselves skinny, which will work but can lead to being "skinny" fat. That is where you lose a lot of fat but you lose a lot of muscle too and then end up smaller but weaker and less toned.

Wow that is a lot of cardio. How do you have time for that?

The circuit is fine, though I agree that adding progressive overload would be ideal.

Hi Everyone, Thanks for replying. :) Points noted. Gym is done in the morning, 1 hour cardio is Treadmill, cross-trainer & bicycle combined. I take the group classes (evening) because I seem to enjoy dancing & aerobics, so that doesn't feel exhausting.

It is mostly with my body weight. Exercises like planks, burpees, crunches, squats, lunges, plank jacks, exercise ball, etc. A day in the schedule has exercises using the machines there & a few exercises with medicine ball & plates. 30x2 circuit, repetitions to be increased every week.

    2-3 hours a day isn't enough?
